Death of a Microwave

My microwave, which has been around for a LONG time, decided to die while I was gone this weekend. The light in it turns on and the timer counts down, but nothing else happens, and it certainly doesn't cook my food. This is not something I'm so happy about, mainly because I don't really want to have to carry a new microwave up my stairs, they are quite a pain. Yuck :(
