Bridging the Gap

Courtesy once again of my father, check out this article about two high schools in Birmingham, Alabama who worked together to bridge the gap between race relations. They staged the play "To Kill a Mockingbird" but what's special about it is that the students came together from drastically different areas of Birmingham - one being the upper class, white neighborhood most of the Jews in Birmingham reside in, and the other a poorer, mostly black neighborhood. Speaking from the experience of having grown up in that community, it would have been extremely unlikely for these students to have crossed paths otherwise. Very cool.
